Here's what makes us different

Every contractor says they're the best. Here's why we actually are — and how we prove it on every job.

Real Natural Stone, Not Imitation

We work in flagstone and bluestone — quarried natural stone with depth, texture, and color variation that no concrete paver can match. It looks better the day you install it, and it looks even better five years later.

Hand-Laid by Craftsmen

Natural stone work takes patience and skill. Each piece is fitted by hand, set in a properly prepped base, and joined with polymeric sand. We don't rush, and we don't cut corners on the base — that's why our patios stay flat.

Built to Outlast the House

Properly installed natural stone is the most durable patio surface money can buy. We back every install with a workmanship guarantee — no shifting, no sinking, no excuses.

Full-Service Natural Stone Patios & Walkways

Every project is sized, scoped, and quoted by a real person — not a sales bot.

Bluestone PatiosCool blue-grey natural bluestone in random and dimensional patterns.
Flagstone PatiosWarm sandstone tones, irregular hand-fit pieces with character.
Natural Stone WalkwaysFront entry walks, garden paths, side yards — laid to last.
Stone Steps & RisersSolid bluestone or flagstone steps for grade changes and entries.
Patio Borders & EdgingCrisp natural stone borders and soldier courses.
Repair & RelevelingBringing settled or shifted natural stone back to perfect.

Simple Process. Zero pressure.

The work speaks for itself — but our clients say it better than we can.

"We looked at brick pavers from a few other companies and decided we wanted something that wouldn't look dated. Nelligans walked us through bluestone vs flagstone, helped us pick, and the patio is exactly what we wanted. Five years in and it looks brand new."
David R. Northville, MI • Bluestone Patio Install
"The flagstone walkway is the first thing every visitor comments on. It's unique — it's not the same paver pattern everyone else has. The crew was meticulous about how each piece fit."
Karen M. Plymouth, MI • Flagstone Front Walkway
"Honest pricing, no surprises, and the workmanship is unreal. They set every stone like it mattered to them personally. We get compliments every time we have people over."
Steve & Amy K. Brighton, MI • Backyard Bluestone Patio with Fire Pit

Questions? We've got answers.

What's the difference between bluestone and flagstone?
Bluestone is a specific quarried stone — typically blue-grey, dimensional, and uniform in thickness. Flagstone is a broader category covering irregular natural stones in warm sandstone tones. Both are natural quarried stone — neither is concrete. We help you pick what fits your home.
How long does a natural stone patio take to install?
Most patios take 4–10 days depending on size and complexity. Base prep is the most important part — we don't rush it. A rushed base is why other people's patios sink and shift.
Why is natural stone more expensive than pavers?
Real stone is quarried, shipped, and set by hand — there's more material cost and more labor. But you get something that lasts a lifetime, doesn't fade, and only looks better with age. Concrete pavers fade and have to be replaced eventually.
Do you do driveways?
We don't do natural stone driveways — they're not the right material for that. We focus on patios, walkways, steps, and entries where the beauty and durability of natural stone really show.
Will it shift or sink over Michigan winters?
Not when it's installed correctly. We dig deep, compact the right base material in lifts, and use proper edge restraints. That's why our patios stay flat through Michigan freeze-thaw cycles.

100% Workmanship Guarantee

If you're not happy with our work, we make it right. That's why 4 out of 5 of our jobs come from referrals — happy neighbors talking to other neighbors.

Honest, transparent pricing

Natural stone patios typically run $25–$45 per square foot installed. Walkways from $35/lin ft. Free estimate confirms exact cost.
